Athlete and Coach Funding

Provincials Funding

Each year, Central Region supports its athletes to attend Provincial Championships by providing funding to offset some of the costs associated with this event. Athletes must have attended the CR Wild West competition to be eligible for this funding.

Each athlete is eligible for up to $100 of funding. ($4000 will be split between participating athletes.) To access this funding, send a copy of eligible receipts* to your club Treasurer who will compile and send to the CR Treasurer for reimbursement.

Nationals Funding

Each year, Central Region supports its athletes to attend Canadians Baton Twirling Championships by providing funding to offset some of the costs associated with this event. Athletes must have attended Provincials to be eligible for this funding.

Each athlete along with one coach from each club attending, is eligible for up to $250 of funding. ($10,000 will be split between participating athletes and coaches.) To access this funding, send a copy of eligible receipts* to your club Treasurer who will compile and send to the CR Treasurer for reimbursement.

International Funding

Coach Training Funding

Each year, Central Region supports its athletes to attend International competitions such as IBTF Nations Cup and World Championships (odd years) and World Freestyle and Rhythmic Baton Twirling Championships (even years) by providing funding to offset some of the costs associated with this event. Athletes must attend National to be eligible for this funding.

Each athlete along with one coach from each club attending, is eligible for up to $250 of funding. ($5,000 will be split between participating athletes.) To access this funding, send a copy of eligible receipts* to your club Treasurer who will compile and send to the CR Treasurer for reimbursement.

Coach Training Funding

To support our coaches in the region, CR Baton has allocated funding to cover some of the costs associated with coach training and certifications.

CR will cover 50% of First Aid Certification training for coaches in the region.

In addition, funding is available to cover costs associated with coaching certification courses, badge instruction training and new event instruction training.

Coaches please submit your receipts to your club Treasurer to submit on your behalf.

Eligible Receipts

To receive funding for events throughout the year, eligible receipts are required

Submit original receipts to your club Treasurer. If you have pdf receipts, they may be emailed. Paper receipts must be given to your club treasurer. Take a photo of the receipt for your records.

Eligible receipts include:

Registration fees* (include your registration and proof of payment - etransfer receipt)

*entry fees only, extra fees like athlete parties are not eligible

Hotel expenses (Athletes are eligible for 1/2 of a hotel room expense. If athletes are sharing accommodation, they may each submit half of a hotel receipt for reimbursement)
Gas receipts to and from events
Flights to and from events
Athlete meals while at events (Please note that receipts should only include the athlete's meal and there can be no alcohol on the receipt.)
